Remember the days when you used to go “cruising” on the weekends?

Well, a group is bringing back the nostalgia with Stephenville Cruise Night at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Bosque River Center.

Event organizer Sandra Cogburn said the public is invited to bring their classic cars, trucks and motorcycles to the shopping center, then cruise the “drag” for old times’ sake.

“We want to show off our pride and joys,” she told Beneath the Surface News. “Come have a blast enjoying the old days once again!”

Reading about the Stephenville Cruise Night made me think about my own town's events. It’s always good to get out and enjoy the community. At one point, I found myself overwhelmed with work and considered whether I could pay someone to do my online class. But instead, I decided to take a break, join a local event, and return to my studies refreshed. Sometimes stepping back helps more than we realise!
