One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Bubble Bath, a sweet six to seven-year-old girl waiting for a family to call her own.
“Bubble Bath thrives on attention and would happily spend her days by your side, soaking up pets and affection,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“She is gentle, loyal and easygoing and has done well around other dogs, cats and large livestock, although she would prefer a home without chickens.”
Bubble Bath is well-mannered indoors, appears to be potty trained and walks nicely on a leash with only the occasional detour when something exciting catches her eye.
She's spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and has completed treatment for a very mild case of heartworm.
“If you're looking for a loving companion with a heart as big as her smile, Bubble Bath is ready to make a splash in your life,” Serena said.
Jamaica Beach, a two-month-old playful kitten, was found as a stray with her siblings, Houston and Surfside.
She has recovered from an upper respiratory infection and is now ready to find a family of her own,” Serena said.
“She can be a little shy at first, but with patience and gentle love, she's sure to blossom into a wonderful companion.
“Her favorite activities include chasing the ball track, wrestling with kicker toys and showing off her playful kitten antics.”

Jamaica Beach is litter box trained, partially vaccinated and microchipped.
ECHS will schedule her spay appointment at the time of adoption.
“If you're looking for a sweet kitten who just needs a little time to shine, Jamaica Beach may be the perfect addition to your family,” Serena said.
