Meet Barbie. This smart shepherd mix is looking for an active family to make her their own.

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Barbie, a five-year-old shepherd mix with a big personality and lots of energy.
“This smart girl is housebroken, crate trained, knows her basic commands, walks nicely on a leash and loves going for car rides and adventures,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“Barbie would love an active family who can keep her busy with walks, playtime and plenty of mental stimulation. She'd do best as the only pet in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention.”
Barbie is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.
Noir is an adorable kitten with a big heart.
“He's affectionate, playful, litter box trained and loves spending time with his people. He also gets along great with other cats,” Serena said.
Noir does have a sensitive tummy and some hair loss, so he'll need a special adopter who understands his needs and is willing to work with their veterinarian to keep him happy and comfortable.
“He's been thoroughly evaluated by our veterinary team and infectious diseases and other common medical causes have been ruled out,” Serena said.
“We're not sure how Noir feels about dogs, but we know he loves people and other kitties.”
Noir is neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
