New Year’s resolutions I hear most from people are the desire to lose weight and get healthy, save money and do more cooking at home.
Â
This recipe for no knead bread is one of my favorite things to make because it’s simple and uses minimal ingredients.
Â
Give it a try and let me know what you think.
Â
Â
WHAT YOU NEED
Â
1 packet active dry yeast
Â
1 ½ tbsp white sugar
Â
1 ¼ cup warm water
Â
3 cups all-purpose flourÂ
Â
2 tbsp salt
Â
2 tbsp olive oilÂ
Â
Â
HOW TO MAKE IT
Â
Start by placing warm water into a bowl; stir in sugar, then sprinkle yeast packet on top.
Â
I like to cover with a clean linen towel because it traps the heat. Let this begin to bubble, it usually takes five to 10 minutes.
Â
Use a fork to mix ingredients; add salt and olive oil, whisk again.
Â
Add flour one cup at a time. I prefer to do this with a wooden spoon to make mixing easier.Â
Â
You do not have to knead this bread, which is what makes it so easy, just make sure it is well mixed.
Â
Cover with the same linen towel and let it rise for about one hour.
Â
Remove towel, sprinkle the counter with flour and place dough on the surface.
Â
Form it into a loaf, place in a loaf pan, cover and let rise another 30 minutes.
Â
Remove towel and bake in oven at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.Â
Â
Enjoy!
