Erath County voters in Tuesday’s Republican Primary gave a resounding approval to incumbents running for re-election.

 

All three up for another term were re-elected by a wide margin, and without a Democratic opponent, will retain their seats next year.

COMMISSIONER PCT. 2

 

Incumbent Albert Ray – 709 votes, 60.65%

 

Challenger David Bays – 253 votes, 21.64%

 

Challenger Dale Spurlen – 207 votes, 17.71%

 

 

JUSTICE OF THE PEACE FOR PCT. 2

 

Incumbent David Martin – 983 votes, 84.23%

 

Challenger Dionicia Azua – 184 votes, 15.77%

 

 

JUSTICE OF THE PEACE FOR PCTS. 1, 3 and 4

 

Incumbent Chili Alexander – 3,125 votes, 77.72%
