Lonn Reisman is officially mayor.
Reisman was sworn into office during Tuesday’s Stephenville City Council meeting.
Reisman told Beneath the Surface News that since he was elected on Nov. 4, he has received at least 50 calls from residents about a variety of issues.
“My phone hasn’t stopped ringing with people expressing concerns and offering ideas on what they think needs to be done,” he said.
“I hear everything from planned development and growth to affordable housing. My main objective right now is to be accessible, listen and put strategic plans into place.”
Reisman spent 36 years at Tarleton State University as the men’s head basketball coach, vice president and athletic director.
He was elected to fill the unexpired term of former mayor Doug Svien.
