One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Little Drummer Boy, a three to four-month-old male kitten.
“This sweet boy is still learning that people can be kind and comforting,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“He and his siblings didn't have much hands-on time before coming to the shelter, so he's a little unsure. He’s just a quiet soul taking things at his own tempo.”
With patience, soft voices and calm interactions, Little Drummer Boy will slowly build trust and begin to shine.
Indi is a four to five-year-old American Bulldog mix.
“This smart, affectionate girl is ready to jingle all the way into a forever home,” Serena said.
“She has a big personality, loyal heart and plenty of love to give. She adores kids, enjoys meeting new humans and already knows her basic commands.”
When it comes to other animals, Indi prefers a small guest list.

She is very selective and cannot live with small dogs or cats.
Indi is housebroken and crate trained, though she is an escape artist who can clear a 5-foot fence, so a tall, secure privacy fence is a must.
Indi is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.
