Graffiti artist “chalks up” a little inspiration

By SARA VANDEN BERGE

I made it back to the Bosque River Trail this morning.

But this time I brought The Husband along for my daily walk. It was the first time he had walked the trail and said it reminded him of a place you would find in the Texas Hill Country.

He is not wrong.

We caught the trail near Timber Ridge Church about 9 a.m., just as the sun was beginning to warm things up and the birds were starting choir practice.

It was one of those glorious mornings when you find yourself thankful for just about everything.

As we walked along the Bosque River passing big, beautiful trees, native plants and an old bridge, we came upon something unexpected.

Written in chalk along a wall and on the sidewalk were colorful messages offering passersby a little inspiration. It was the most beautiful “graffiti” we had ever seen.

We stopped and read each of the messages, carefully etched with scripture and colorful pictures.

I don’t know who took the time to create such inspiration, but this old married couple loved every bit of it.

If you need a little inspiration, go for a walk on the Bosque River Trail and search for this treasure.

You won’t be sorry.
