Following a healthy diet doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice taste.

 

This recipe for Sloppy Joe bowls is delicious and follows the Whole30 diet.

WHAT YOU NEED

 

2 tbsp ghee or olive oil

 

1-2 tbsp minced garlic

 

¼ cup yellow onion, diced

 

¼ cup red onion, diced

 

1 green bell pepper, diced

 

1 lb. ground beef

 

1 tsp Dijon mustard

 

1 tsp yellow mustard

 

3 tbsp paleo or low sugar ketchup



2 tbsp coconut aminos

 

1 tsp salt

 

¼ ground pepper

 

2 tbsp tomato paste

 

1 tsp chili powder

 

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

 

HOW TO MAKE IT

 

Pre-heat oven to 415 degrees.

 

Place sweet potato slices on baking sheet and roast for 10-12 minutes.

 


Brown hamburger in skillet using ghee; saute veggies and add spices, paste and vinegar. 

 

Optional toppings:

 

Dijon mustard

 

Pickles

 

Pickled red onions

 

Sides:

 

Roasted sweet potatoes 

 

Quick cilantro slaw.
