Flour Riot, a new bakery located in downtown Dublin, is officially open with a collection of delicious homemade baked goodies for sale.
Owner Sarah Weaver says all of Flour Riot's baked goods are made locally by cottage law bakers and prepared with simple, clean ingredients.
“Everything in my bakery is made with organic, dye-free ingredients, good quality butter and locally-sourced farm fresh eggs whenever possible,” Sarah told Beneath the Surface News.
The fresh baked goods change daily, but you can expect to find treats like homemade fruit pies (think cherry and peach), freshly baked breads, pumpkin, chocolate and peanut butter cakes, salted brown butter chocolate chip cookies, blueberry scones with fresh whipped cream and vanilla chocolate chip bars with icing.
“My specialty is pies, cakes and frostings, which is the main focus of what I do,” Sarah said.
“I have other local bakers selling fresh tortillas, cinnamon rolls and sourdough products.”
Flour Riot is a cashier-less bakery meaning you come in, pick out what you want and check yourself out using cash, Venmo, credit or debit cards.

The bakery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (or until everything sells out) Monday through Friday.
It’s stocked with a variety of new treats daily, but for the biggest selection, stop by on Fridays.
(But don't wait! The shelves were completely cleared out by noon last Friday!)
Follow Flour Riot on Facebook for daily updates.
And tune in to Beneath the Surface News’ Facebook page at 1:30 p.m. every Wednesday when Sarah goes live with a baking demonstration.
Flour Riot is located at 126 E. Blackjack Street in Dublin.
