Erath County officials vote to keep Flock cameras in budget.
Erath County commissioners on Monday voted to keep Flock cameras in the budget, despite opposition from some citizens.
Erath County Judge Brandon Huckabee said he understands both sides of the issue.
“I understand some of the concerns that have been brought to us and I have also seen the good that’s come from how law enforcement and prosecutors utilize them,” Huckabee told Beneath the Surface News.

Huckabee said there are currently more than 20 Flock cameras in Stephenville and Erath County with 10 of those funded in the county’s budget.
The total cost for those 10 cameras is $30,000.
Erath County officials have a one-year contract with Flock Safety, Inc.
There is a petition to keep flock cameras out of Erath County on a Facebook page called “Fight Flock Erath County, TX.”
