Dust off those dancing shoes! Stephenville’s 2nd annual Western Swing Festival happens this weekend.

An exciting event is coming back to Stephenville for a second straight year.
The Western Swing Festival – a two-day celebration honoring the legendary Milton Brown - will be held Sept. 6-7 at Stephenville City Park.
The free event will include live music from top western swing acts and dancing.
Here is the schedule of events:
Saturday, Sept. 6:
6 p.m. - Billy Mata & Texas Tradition Band
7:30 p.m. - Jody Nix
9 p.m. - Asleep at the Wheel
Sunday, Sept. 7:
5:50 p.m. - Welcome and recognition
6:05 p.m. - Grace Partridge and The Stardust Cowboys
7:15 p.m. - Jake Hooker
8:40 p.m. - Bob Will’s Texas Playboys Under the Direction of Jason Roberts
Milton Brown was born in Stephenville on Sept. 8, 1903.
He died at the age of 32 in a single-car accident on Fort Worth’s Jacksboro Highway.
