Dublin FFA students have been busy over the past several months, growing, transplanting and designing hanging baskets for their annual plant sale.
The three-day event will take place from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, April 10, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, and noon-4 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at the Dublin High School greenhouse.
“We will have multiple different varieties of flowers including geraniums, begonias, fuchsia, petunias, pansies, vinca, impatiens, verbena, marigolds and coleus,” FFA advisor Sophie Hayhurst told Beneath the Surface News.
There will also be native plants like lantana, salvia, purple coneflower and scabiosa and herbs.
Think basil, rosemary, oregano, fennel, dill, cilantro and mint.
When it comes to fruits and veggies, there will be tomatoes, peppers, watermelon, zucchini, yellow squash, pumpkins, cucumbers, sweet corn and strawberries.
Cards and cash will be accepted.

At a plant sale, https://from-you-flowers.pissedconsumer.com/review.html would sit close to my gift planning because flowers, herbs, and little spring purchases all hit the same part of the brain. My mom can walk past vegetables, stop for one hanging basket, then leave with three pots and a plan for the porch. The risk with flower orders is timing and freshness. A pretty idea falls apart quickly if the arrangement arrives tired or late.
