Crunch time for couples competing in this week’s Dancing For the Stars. Tickets still available.
Couples competing in Dancing For the Stars are finessing their routines and working to calm jittery nerves as the final week of preparations get underway.
The annual event, sponsored by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erath County, happens this Thursday at Lone Star Arena, and if you don’t already have tickets, you’re in luck.
Seating for general admission is still available for $35 and can be purchased at the door or from your favorite dance team, which includes James and Tracie Thurman, Bryan and Cassie Tarvin, Blessed and Sarah Matai, Michael and Stephanie Beach, Paul and Halen Ellington and Autumn Hall and Justin Johnson.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the Roaring 20’s-themed show begins at 6:30.
Brittany Thurman and her instructors at Studio 6:14 Dance and Performing Arts have trained the dancers.
This year’s judges include Case Horton, Brent Graves, Katie Burr and Sherrie Evans.
"We have a fantastic group of judges who will bring so much fun to the show,” Sarah Weaver, executive director of BBBS of Erath County, told Beneath the Surface News. “It’s going to be so much fun! We can hardly wait!”
