Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council gets into Christmas with ornament decorating, ugly sweater contest.

When you’re in downtown Stephenville on Saturday enjoying the ChristmasVille activities, make sure to stop by the plaza where the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council will be hosting a whole lot of festive fun beginning with an ornament decorating station from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

“We will have three different kinds of ornaments to choose from and kids (and adults) will create their own,” CTFAC executive director Christine Newton told Beneath the Surface News.

Then stick around to compete in CTFAC’s first-ever Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest beginning at 2 p.m.

Pre-registration is not required; simply show up a few minutes early and hope your sweater is the ugliest because not only will first place win a trophy, you will also win $50.

(And who couldn’t use a little extra cash this holiday season?)

Second place will win $25.

My daughter and I are judging the contest and we can hardly wait!

Both events are totally free and open to everyone.

See you there!
