Stephenville’s second annual lighted Christmas parade happens Saturday along with an amazing day of fun-filled activities for the entire family.

The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be centered in downtown Stephenville. City councilman Ricky Thurman will serve as the emcee again this year.

Immediately following the parade, there will be fireworks followed by the official lighting of the city’s Christmas tree on the downtown plaza.

And speaking of the downtown plaza; that’s definitely where you’ll want to be on Saturday afternoon.

There will face painting, a lighted toy vendor, fun photo opportunities and a harpist and guitarist.

Beans and Franks will be there to keep you warm with its famous hot chocolate and coffee and food trucks will be on hand selling funnel cakes, cotton candy and soda.

There will even be a singing Santa!

The Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council will host ornament decorating from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. followed by an ugly Christmas sweater contest at 2 p.m. (and I get to be a judge)!
