COVID in Erath County surges past 1,000. Now there’s another round of free testing.

As COVID-19 continues to surge across Texas, Erath County is also experiencing an uptick in new cases.

Erath County officials on Tuesday, reported 31 new cases, with 22 in Stephenville, one in Dublin and eight in the county.

There have also been new hospitalizations now totaling 39.

On Monday, officials reported 11 new cases.

The total of local cases now stands at 1,029 with 148 considered active

Another round of free testing is now being offered from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church.

A swab test will be administered and results will be available in 48-72 hours.

You do not have to be symptomatic to receive a test and pre-registration is not required.
