Cheerful Heart Gifts & Boutique opens just in time for the holiday season.

After months of renovation, Cheerful Heart Gifts & Boutique is set to open its doors on Friday in Stephenville.
The boutique, with other locations in Glen Rose, Granbury and Meridian, has breathed new life into the old Fiddle Creek Steakhouse on Swan Street.
And on Friday, the public will get its first chance to check it out.
I got a sneak peek on Wednesday and can tell you that Cheerful Heart is indeed full of cheer.
I spoke with owner Melanie Vaden who said her newest location was a long time coming.
“I bought the original store in Glen Rose in May of 2016,” Melanie told Beneath the Surface News. “Since then customers have requested that we open a store in Stephenville, but we had to find the right location and the right staff.
“When it all came to fruition, we knew it was time.”
MAKE TIME TO BROWSE
The current theme inside Cheerful Heart is, of course, Christmas.
Dizzying displays of holiday cheer (think festive trees, snowmen, nutcrackers and reindeer) greet customers as they walk through the front doors.
But the spacious retailer has plenty of room for other eye-catching displays like Vera Bradley bathrobes, blankets, backpacks and eyeglasses; a delightful gourmet section; women’s clothing including one of my favorite lines, Free People; and unique jewelry by designers like Melania Clara and Natalie Wood (a line similar to Kendra Scott).
And, of course, there is a variety of unique home décor, furniture and art that will spruce up any space inside your home.
LUXURIOUS SPA PRODUCTS
I was more than a little excited about the wonderful lines of spa products Cheerful Heart carries.
There is an entire section dedicated to all things pampering: Scented bath bombs displayed in pretty jars, and Farmhouse Fresh, an organic line of spa products made in McKinney, Texas.
(Some of the best hotels in the country carry this luxurious line and cute sets of mini pedis and facials will make perfect stocking stuffers.)
HOURS OF OPERATION
Doors will be open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. for Friday’s soft opening and there will be giveaways galore so be sure to stop by and check it out.
Cheerful Heart will be open from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and after Thanksgiving, hours will include 1–5 p.m. on Sunday.
