Barbecue, a dip-off and drawing for Cowboys tickets; Bull Nettle rolls out all the fun for Super Bowl Sunday.
Bull Nettle, Stephenville’s No. 1 sports bar, is gearing up for the biggest night in football with a Super Bowl watch party on Sunday.
The big game kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and you’ll be able to watch the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in shiny Las Vegas on 12 TVs and a large video screen with surround sound.
Owner Court Cole told Beneath the Surface News that the watch party is an annual event.
“We do this every year as a thank you to our customers,” he said. “We always have a good crowd, so it’s a lot of fun.”
Bull Nettle opens at 2 p.m. Sunday for those who want to do a little pre-gaming.
Court said one of his best customers – John Brownlee with Smokin’ Double J BBQ - will cook free brisket and sausage for the crowd; guests are asked to bring a side dish.
“One of my favorite things is when the national anthem comes on; everyone stands up and takes off their hats,” he said. “It’s really cool.”
COWBOYS TICKETS AND A DIP-OFF
Dipping is a must when watching football and Bull Nettle is hosting a dip-off on Sunday for all you snack-lovers.
Think salsa, guacamole and creamy twists on Ranch. If you can dip a cracker in it, you can enter.
Check-in is at 5 p.m. The winner will be announced at half time and will receive two gift cards.
Oh, and there’s something else: Bull Nettle will host a drawing for a pair of free tickets to watch the Dallas Cowboys play. You must be present to win.
