My favorite book, ‘The Idea of You’, has been adapted into a Prime Video original movie and it’s streaming now.

My favorite book of all time has been adapted into an original movie on Prime Video.
If you haven’t read the sleeper hit novel The Idea of You by Robinne Lee, you have managed to overlook a fantastically dreamy story you won’t be able to put down.
The book tells the story of Solène Marchand, a divorced, 39-year-old owner of an art gallery in Los Angeles who falls into a romantic relationship with Hayes Campbell, the 24-year-old lead singer of boy band August Moon.
If you’re already silently judging Solène, stop it. She was just as worried about the relationship as you are.
But what begins as a string of clandestine trysts evolves into a real love story that takes them on an international rock star journey complete with private jets and tropical getaways.
The Idea of You was released on Prime Video May 2 and I won’t apologize for making The Husband give up a date night at Newton’s Saddlerack to stay home and watch it with me.
(He thought it was a little corny, but he didn’t read the book.)
Anne Hathaway plays Solène and, as always, she is fantastic.
Nicholas Galitzine plays dreamboat Hayes and you won’t even care that he is young enough to be your son.
The onscreen version of the story has a much happier ending than the novel.
The movie is good, but it’s no match for the book, so if you haven’t ordered it, do it now.
Meanwhile, check out the official trailer here.
