A Husky and ‘lovable couch potato’ are this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the ECHS.

Koda

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society includes Koda, a one to two-year-old male Husky.

“He is a very energetic boy and is exceptional at escaping fenced yards, so would do best in a home where he has supervised outside time,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.

Koda does not get along with other dogs.

“He is good on a leash and is very vocal when he’s playing,” she said.

Serena said Koda should be adopted by a family that is familiar with Huskies.

“Huskies are fantastic dogs, but they are very high maintenance,” she said.

“Koda is neutered, fully vaccinated, heart worm negative and on prevention.

Gabriel is a 5-year-old male domestic shorthair described as a “lovable couch potato.”

“He is a handsome chunk of a boy,” Serena said. “This older gentleman enjoys lots of love and affection. He is on a limited intake diet to help him lose weight and it is recommended that his new family keep him on it to prevent heath issues.”

If you are interested in meeting Koda or Gabriel, stop by the animal shelter located at 891 East Road in Stephenville.
