If you like winter weather, you’re in for a real treat (literally).

Forecasters say there is a good chance Erath County will be the recipient of a rare occurrence when that powdery stuff falls from the sky this week.

In fact, we might see as much as four inches, and if that’s the case, there will be enough snow to make ice cream!

This super easy recipe includes just four ingredients you likely already have, but if you don’t, there’s still time to make a run to the store before that powdery goodness arrives on Thursday.

Not only is snow ice cream fun to make, it’s actually really good.

WHAT YOU NEED

1 cup milk (any kind)

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

pinch of salt

8 cups clean snow

Optional: Sprinkles, chocolate sauce and whipped cream.

HOW TO MAKE IT

In large bowl, whisk milk, sugar, vanilla and salt until well combined.

Scoop up fresh (clean) snow and immediately stir it into the milk mixture until you reach the desired consistency.

It melts quickly so act fast!

And whatever you do, don’t forget to top your bowl with sprinkles, chocolate sauce and whipped cream!
