Stephenville High School’s theatre will perform two showings of The Spongebob Musical at 2 and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8.
Theatre teacher Mindy McCleskey told Beneath the Surface News that more than 60 students have worked on the production in the areas of performing, sets, costumes, props, hair and makeup, lighting, sound and projections.
“This high energy musical is appropriate for all ages and is based on the Nickelodeon television show, Spongebob Squarepants,” she said.
“This adventure follows Spongebob, Patrick and Sandy as they battle a volcano that threatens to destroy Bikini Bottom, while learning important lessons about believing in yourself and what true friendship really means.”
The hour-long show is full of surprises and memorable performances.
While both performances are open to the public, the evening show will take place during Presentation Play when class favorites are presented.
