Stephenville’s Downtown Merchants group is bringing some extra sweet fun to the city with The Great American Ice Cream Social.
The tasty event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 18, on the Erath County courthouse square.
“It’s a fun summer event for people to taste homemade ice cream and other goodies at each merchant location, then vote for their favorite,” KayLee Pemberton told Beneath the Surface News.
“There will also be a chance to win a summer ice cream-themed basket.”
Pre-sale tickets are $8 each or $6 when you buy four or more; tickets can be purchased at Frames Etc and Blue-Eyed Buffalo.
They can also be purchased for $10 on the day of the event at the merchant tent.
But ice cream is only part of the fun…
Cars and Coffee will be set up with vintage cars around the square along with the Erath County Humane Society and the Girl Scouts will sell lemonade and drinks.
If your business or organization would like to sell hot dogs, contact the merchants to let them know.
HOW MERCHANTS CAN PARTICIPATE
• Become an official ice cream stop – make a homemade ice cream or serve up something creative with store bought ice cream.
Merchants will provide cups and spoons for the tastings.
• Donate an item for the gift basket – whether it’s a gift card or an item to showcase your business.
