This week’s featured pets up for adoption love attention! (And one likes to cuddle.)

Cantina

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Cantina, a one to two-year-old female Pit Bull/Terrier mix.

“She loves to cuddle and get attention,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “She is dog friendly, but will need proper introduction to ensure she settles in well into a home with other dogs.”

Cantina is potty and crate-trained. She does pretty well when left home alone, but if you don't leave her a toy or something to occupy her time, she might get into the trash or chew up some shoes.

“She can climb over a chain link fence, but would probably be ok with a six-foot privacy fence,” Serena said.

Cantina is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative.

She has been at the shelter since May.

Jesse is a five to six-month-old male domestic shorthair.

“He absolutely loves attention, but is not a big fan of being held,” Serena said. “He is very talkative and will sit at the front of his kennel meowing for attention.”

Jesse is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and litterbox trained.

He has been at the shelter since August.
