This sweet, older cat needs a home where he can live out the rest of his life in comfort.

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Arkey, a 13-year-old male domestic longhair.
“This sweet older gentleman was surrendered due to no fault of his own,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“The owner did not offer any information about him. Arkey is skeptical of new people, but warms up quickly.”
“He loves attention from people he trusts, but doesn't particularly like other cats or being picked up. He deserves a home where he can him live out the rest of his life.”
Apollo is a three to four-year-old male pit bull mix.
“He is a happy boy that loves everyone he meets,” Serena said. “He is good with other dogs and is stranger and child-friendly.”
Apollo is good with cats, but sometimes gets overly excited and gets in their face. He has not been around livestock.
Apollo is an indoor dog and is potty trained.
“He loves being outside so he can run and play,” Serena said. “He walks very well on a leash and rides well in a car.
“He can climb short chainlink fences, so will need secure fencing.”
Apollo knows how to sit, stay, lay down and paw.
He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.
