This sweet mama cat and her newborn kittens were rescued from under a car.
One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Retail, a sweet cat that was found hiding under a car with her newborn kittens.
“After spending her time being a devoted mama, her kittens are finally weaned, and now it's her turn to find a loving home,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“Retail is a sweet girl with a little sass. She can be a bit rough around the edges and does like to use her claws when playing, so she will need a home without children.
“She would do best with someone who understands her playful personality and can help her learn appropriate playtime manners.”
Retail is litter box trained, spayed, fully vaccinated and pending a microchip.
Kuchi Kopi was also found as a stray and never reclaimed.
“Since arriving, he has shown himself to be a sweet, goofy guy who absolutely loves attention, toys and cuddles,” Serena said.
“He also has a funny habit of getting right into your personal space without realizing just how big he is.”
Kuchi can be strong on a leash and will pull, but once he settles down, he walks well.
He is crate and house-trained, although he has had an occasional accident, so he may need a little patience as he adjusts to a new home.
Kuchi is generally good with other dogs, but a meet-and-greet is always recommended to make sure everyone is a good match.
He does not seem to be a fan of cats, so a cat-free home would likely be best for him.
Kuchi is good with strangers, although he can be timid when meeting new people.
He is okay riding in a car but is very nervous throughout the entire ride, so his new family will need to be patient and help him build confidence with car travel.
Kuchi Kopi has a fully healed injury to his back right foot that occurred before his arrival. It does not appear to bother him and he gets around just fine.
Kuchi is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and heartworm negative.
