One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at Erath County Humane Society is Clyde, a one-year-old male shepherd mix.
“This sweet, handsome guy is a little shy at first, but will soon run to you for belly rubs,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.
“He is good with other dogs, but should be fed separately to be safe.”
Clyde loves to play in water and chase the stream from a water hose. He is still learning to walk on a leash and will run if he gets spooked.
“While he absolutely adores a comfy bed and stuffed toys, he will demolish them if he gets bored,” Serena said.
“He and his sister were dumped and were skin and bones when they were found.”
Clyde is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.
Friend is a two to three-year-old male domestic shorthair.
“While this big fella is a little shy, he warms up nicely,” Serena said.
“He is learning to love attention and pets. When he was brought in, he had been living outside, but has decided that he likes the indoor life much better.
Whoever adopts this sweet cat will need to be patient while he adjusts to his new surroundings.
Friend is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and litter box trained.
