One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Cleo, a one to two-year-old Lab/Pit mix.

“She is nervous at first and will seek comfort from those she knows,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.

“Once she is comfortable, she is a lovebug that enjoys scratches. She thinks she is the perfect size for a lap.”

Cleo does well in a crate, but will need work with potty training.

She seems to be good with other dogs, but a meet-and-greet is always recommended with any household pets.

“She does pull on a leash and will need some practice and she will bark if she isn't getting any attention."

Cleo is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.

Magnolia is a two to three-month-old male kitten.

“He is very playful and loves toys. He also loves to play fight and will bite and grab any hands he sees,” Serena said.

“He is very clumsy when in play mode and will fall off things if not careful.”

Magnolia gets along well with other cats.

He is neutered, partially vaccinated, microchipped and litterbox trained.
