This friendly girl loves to play while this week’s featured kitten enjoys a good scratch.
One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Butter Mint, a two to three-year-old female Chi/Terrier mix.
“She is a small girl, weighing only 30 pounds,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “She is extremely energetic and very sweet.”
Butter Mint is dog friendly and loves to play, but she does not like cats.
“She is an escape artist and can squeeze through small gaps and climb chain link, so a privacy fence is highly recommended,” Serena said.
Butter Mint prefers to interact with women and children and enjoys walking on a leash, but she does pull.
She is spayed, fully vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention. She is not completely house-trained, but will not poop inside (so that’s a big yay!).
Butter Mint has been at the shelter since February.
Novalee is a 10-month-old female domestic shorthair.
“She is a sweet, affectionate kitten,” Serena said. “She is pretty quiet and will lean against me while I give her scratches.”
Novalee is spayed, partially vaccinated (still needs one shot), wormed, microchipped and litterbox trained.
She has been at the shelter since August 2023.
