This dog spent his life chained up. Now he needs a loving home.

Timbo

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is Timbo, a four to five-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix.

“Timbo is a bed hog that loves to cuddle and is very lovable,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “He does have a tendency to jump on you to give kisses, so he may not do well in a home with small children. He can also be a bit rough when playing and tends to nip at arms.”

For families with other dogs, a meet-and-greet is recommended before adoption.

Timbo knows basic commands like sit, stay and gentle.

“His previous owner kept him on a heavy chain and he should not have to live life that way ever again,” Serena said. “He is very vocal when he wants attention.”

His fosters say he is the best dog they have met in a long time.

Timbo is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention.

Salamander is a five-month-old male Domestic Shorthair.

“He is a wild child that loves to run and bounce off the walls of his kennel,” Serena said. “He enjoys the company of the other kittens he is in with.”

Salamander is litter box trained, fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped.
