There are several variations on these protein bowls, which are growing in popularity.

You can create a bowl using different protein like ground turkey or ground chicken and adding veggies, pickles, avocado and cottage cheese to pump up the protein.

WHAT YOU NEED

2 tbsp ghee or olive oil

1-2 tbsp minced garlic
Â
¼ cup yellow onion, diced

¼ cup red onion, diced

1 green bell pepper, diced
Â
1 lb. ground beef
Â
Sweet potatoes
Â
1 tsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp yellow mustard

3 tbsp paleo or low sugar ketchup

2 tbsp coconut aminos

1 tsp salt
Â
¼ ground pepper

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

HOW TO MAKE IT
Â
Pre-Heat oven to 425 degrees
Â
Place sweet potato slices on a baking sheet and roast for 10-12 minutes.
Â
Brown hamburger in a skillet with olive oil, saute veggies and add spices, paste and vinegar.Â

Add sweet potatoes and hamburger mixture to bowl and enjoy.
