The trash talking starts as CTFAC announces this year’s Ragin’ Cajun celebrity waiters.

Updated: Mar 26, 2022

Kimberly Dowell-Barrier and Hannah Dowell are among this year's celebrity waiter teams.

The Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council has announced this year’s celebrity waiters taking part in the 19th Annual Ragin’ Cajun Crawfish Boil and Silent Auction.

The waiters are paired in teams that compete to raise the most money for CTFAC and rumor has it that there has already been some serious trash talking between two of the teams. (All in fun, of course!)

I hate to brag, but in case you don’t know, Lisa Pendleton and I were last year’s winning team after raising $10,000 – and I hope one of this year’s great teams can dethrone us.

Ragin’ Cajun is the largest fundraiser of the year for the organization, which works to make the arts accessible to everyone.

“This year’s winning celebrity waiter team title is up for grabs. They will receive a trophy and bragging rights until the event returns next year,” CTFAC executive director Christine Newton told Beneath the Surface News. “The waiter teams are always competitive and this year is no different.”

This year’s teams include Brandon and Alyssa Huckabee; Kimberly Dowell-Barrier and Hannah Dowell; Jennifer England and Rosa Sifuentes; Eric and Tiffany Randall and Ali and Kevin Mahon.

Businesses and individuals are invited to donate items for the silent auction.

You can purchase tickets or tables by clicking here or calling 254-965-6190.

The event will take place from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, at the Big Red Barn Event Center in Stephenville.

“There will be plenty of fun on hand with delicious Cajun crawfish, shrimp and all the fixings as well as music and dancing,” Christine said. “The costumed celebrity waiters will also be there to entertain you all night long.”

Don’t miss out! This is a super fun event!
