The Show donates a whopping $45K to the Erath County Volunteer Firefighters Association.

The Show committee donated $45,000 to the Erath County Volunteer Firefighters Association and $35,000 to the Cowboy Capital of the World Pro Rodeo Association on Monday.

The Erath County Volunteer Firefighters Association is $45,000 richer thanks to a donation made on Monday by the committee who oversees The Show, an event held during Rodeo Heritage Week every September in Erath County.

This year’s 8th annual event raised a whopping $70,000, with the majority of the proceeds donated to the firefighters association, which included $10,000 from passing around a firefighter’s helmet, and the remaining $35,000 benefiting the Cowboy Capital of the World Pro Rodeo Association.

Over the years The Show has donated more than $500,000 to local organizations. “The Show committee would like to give a huge thank you to the community for always supporting and helping us give back in such amazing ways to the various charities in our community,” committee member Jodi Clements told Beneath the Surface News.
