Anyone who knows me understands my deep affinity for all things Christmas.
And as you may have guessed, our halls are already decked with fat Santas, nutcrackers and twinkling lights.
And in the middle of our living room stands our Christmas tree, fully decorated by my good friend Polly Hamilton.
I know what you’re thinking.
You actually pay someone to decorate your Christmas tree?!
I do and here’s why.
Polly is really, really good.
She started decorating my tree several years ago (after all of the kids were officially out of the house and decorating was no longer a family affair) and she does such a good job that I have never looked back.
“I have been decorating Christmas trees for about eight years and I love it,” Polly told me. “I do between 30 and 40 every year.”
She also decorates three Christmas trees at Texas Health Stephenville.
“I do the trees at the hospital on the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year,” she said. “And they are huge. It literally takes me all day.”
This year she also has a request to decorate a Christmas tree using pampas grass.
“That one will be a lot of fun,” she said. “It will have a boho feel.”
Polly can do just about anything you want – from traditional to unique themes – and she is a wizard with the ribbon.
