Switcheroo: Justin Slawson withdraws from Place 7; refiles to challenge Maddie Smith.
With just two days left until the filing deadline for a place on the May 6 ballot, Justin Slawson withdrew his application to run for Place 7 on the Stephenville City Council and refiled for Place 5.
The move came just days after Brandon Greenhaw filed to challenge Slawson for Place 7 and now pits Slawson against Maddie Smith for Place 5.
I sent Slawson a text Wednesday asking why he made the switcheroo, but so far, mum’s the word.
