Stephenville High School names physician, judge and coach as its 2023 distinguished alumni.

Stephenville High School has named Dr. Craig Barker, Judge Jason Cashon and Coach Sterling Doty as its 2023 Distinguished Alumni recipients.
A reception in their honor will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 9, at Stephenville High School.
The community is invited to attend.
Dr. Craig Barker, Class of 1989 (Valedictorian)
● Chief Medical Officer, UMC Physicians, Lubbock, Texas
● Board Chair, UMC Health Network, Inc.
● Leader in worship ministry and discipleship
● Proud husband to Karmen (Salutatorian, 1989) and father to Kendra & Cody
● Director of Outpatient COVID-19 operations for UMC Health Network
Judge Jason Cashon, Class of 1989
● District Judge, 266th Judicial District, 2012-present
● District Attorney, 266th Judicial District, 2009-2012
● Board Certified Specialist, Criminal Law 2005-present
● Presenter for Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers, New York State Police
● Adjunct Professor, Tarleton State University
Coach Sterling Doty, Class of 2001
● Attended West Point, Graduate of the University of Houston
● University of Houston: Three-time football Letterman, 2006 1st Team All-Conference Performer
● SHS Head Football Coach, 2019-Present
● Class 4A State Champion: 1998 and 1999 (player), 2021 (coach)
● Proud Husband and Father of 4
In addition to the Distinguished Alumni reception, all three recipients will have the opportunity to speak to SHS students during Career Day on March 10.
