Stephenville FFA excels at state convention. Here's a look at what happened.

Stephenville FFA earned 13 State Championship titles and $59,000 in scholarships during the 96th annual Texas FFA State Convention.

 

The group will compete for five additional State Championship titles in the coming days within the Star Awards Program.

 


Thirteen Stephenville FFA members earned their Lone Star Degree including Anya Airola, Jaedyn Berry, Brayson Burch, Kaylee Fair, Ally Foster, Mattie Gaynor, Meg McGregor, Lexi Nelms, Kaleb Osinga, Keylee Porter, Dallee Robison, Charlie Rumsey and Aubrey Vanden Berge.

 

Stephenville FFA alumni Bryce Cline received an honorary Lone Star degree.

 

Stephenville FFA was recognized as a Gold Ranked Chapter and was named one of the top FFA chapters through the Golden Horizon Awards Program.



Seven Stephenville FFA members were recognized as Star Award finalists including Hudson Musick, Jackson Richmond, Kade Cason, Kenley Pack, Kaylee Fair, Kirsten Cline and Mari Horwath.

 

Musick, Richmond, Cason, Pack and Fair will compete in the coming days for the State Championship Title of their respective Star Categories.

 

Stephenville FFA received 10 State Championship Titles within the Agriscience Fair Program and members who won their agriscience fair divisions will have the chance to compete at the National FFA Agriscience Fair later this year.

 


Each champion will receive a $1,000 scholarship courtesy of the Richard Wallrath Educational Foundation.

 

These members include Hudson Musick, Kendall Burch, Taylor Hice, Luke Gilliland, Ebb Montgomery, Kaylee Fair, Charleigh Feuerbacher, Kenely Pack, Ally Foster, Jaedyn Berry, Payson Chipman, Zyler McClendon, Jake Goodwin, Turner Montgomery, Shayla Mader, Sterling Richmond and Jackson Richmond.

 


Garrett Mader and Aidyn McKeehan were reserve champions of their respective divisions.

 

Tucker Hubbard and Meg McGregor placed 4th and 6th respectively in the largest categories.

 

Kaylee Fair, Kaleb Osinga and Sterling Richmond were named State Champions of their respective Proficiency Awards and will have the chance to compete at the National level.

 


Shayla Mader and Sterling Richmond were recognized as HLSR Scholarship recipients, receiving $20,000 each to further their education.

 

Mader was also recognized for her tenure as a Ford Leadership Scholar and received a $1,000 scholarship and presented her service project which benefited the local Summer Food 4 Kids Program.

 

Stephenville FFA alumni Hudson Westbrook performed the opening act for the Texas FFA kick off concert.
