Stephenville Dance Center gears up for summer fun with camps and classes for all ages.

The dog days of summer are right around the corner and we all know the importance of keeping kids active and entertained.
Stephenville Dance Center has released its summer schedule filled with camps, classes and weekly “punch card classes.”
"The punch card classes are perfect for those busy summer schedules, those who want to hone in skills during the summer or for those who want to try a new style of dance,” owner Renee Burdick told Beneath the Surface News. "Each week we will offer a different genre of dance for a drop-in class and we will announce the schedule on Facebook and Instagram.”
Weekly punch card classes are for ages 10 and older and are $15 per class, but you can purchase a “punch card” to receive a discounted rate.
Here’s what else is happening this summer.
JUNE 20-24: Encanto Creative Dance (ages 3-6) $75: This themed camp introduces boys and girls to beginning dance terminology, creative movement games, a daily craft, and end-of-week performance for family and friends.
Pom & Leaps, Tricks, Turns (ages 7-12) $75: A fun and fast-paced class giving your dancer a dance team experience. Dancers will also build technical skills and make their own pair of pom poms.
JUNE 27-1: Jazz & Lyrical Combo (ages 7-12) $75: An invigorating combo technique class focusing on developing complex rhythms and patterns that will move through center work, across the floor progressions and challenging combinations/choreography.
JULY 18-22: Fun in the Sun (ages 3-6) $75: This themed camp introduces boys and girls to beginning dance terminology, creative movement games, a daily craft and end-of-week performance for family and friends.
Ballet Intensive (ages 7-12) $75: Classical ballet class imparting dancers with an understanding of terminology, musicality, and gestural expression. Students will advance through barre, center work and progressions to strengthen the core, improve balance and flexibility.
AUG. 8-12: Hip Hop & Jazz Combo (ages 7-12) $75: Energetic combo technique class showcasing personality and individuality. Students will enjoy fun and upbeat technique, freestyle and choreography.
