Stephenville City Park is alive with the sights and sounds of Christmas! And it’s magical.

My nephew Jensen trying to make his way through the new lighted maze.

The most magical time of the year has officially arrived in Stephenville and so has Erath County United Way’s third annual Light Up the Night Christmas Celebration.

The festive trail, which includes more than two million lights, will be open from 6-9 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from Dec. 2-18 at Stephenville City Park.

The 3/4-mile path includes breathtaking holiday displays, a nativity scene, Christmas music, photo opportunities and stations where you can purchase hot cocoa and lots of bling.

(If you see me wearing a blinking Santa Claus ring don’t be judge-y.)

I got a sneak peek of the fun on Sunday when the ECUW hosted Sponsor Night.

The Husband and I brought along our nephew Jensen and niece Kinsley who led the way with light sabers and had a blast making their way through the new maze.

ECUW executive director Lisa Scroggins told Beneath the Surface News that Santa will be there every Friday night for pictures and there will be a live performance at 7 p.m. every Saturday.

Here’s the schedule:

Dec. 3Studio 6:14

Dec. 10 – Stephenville High School Band

Tickets for children 12 and younger are $5, adults are $10 and children under the age of two are free.

They can be purchased online here or at the gate.

Make plans to take the entire family to this wonderful holiday event.

And Merry Christmas!
