Sabrina Orr is one proud mom.
Pierson, the son she shares with her husband James, is in the running for Baby of the Year, a competition sponsored by Colossal Impact.
The 14-month-old cutie is described as a “joyful” child, who, even when sick, still smiles.
“Not only is he just really cute and joyful, we want to bring awareness to strawberry hemangiomas,” Sabrina told Beneath the Surface News.
Strawberry hemangiomas are bright red, raised birthmarks that typically appear in the first few weeks of life.
Pierson has two hemangiomas and his sister Ryann has one on her shoulder.
Sabrina grew up in Erath County and now lives with her family in Burleson, but her parents Randy and DeLana Huston still reside in Stephenville.
Pierson has made it into the contest’s top 10 where he currently sits in third place.
The contest will be narrowed down even further this Thursday and you can help him move on by voting here.
The Baby of the Year will win $25,000 and appear in a custom ad campaign in Variety magazine.
Supporters can cast one free vote every day or they can opt to make a donation benefiting Baby2Baby.
Every dollar donated equals one additional vote.
Colossal’s Baby of the Year serves as a fundraising campaign for DTCare, a United States 501(c)(3) public charity organization, which will grant donation funds to Baby2Baby at the completion of the competition.
