Sno cones for a cause: Coconut Hut donating Wednesday’s proceeds to Heart of Gold game.

Drew Roberson, the owner of Coconut Hut, truly has a heart of gold, and for the second year in a row, he is donating a day’s worth of proceeds to a cause that’s near and dear to his heart.

Drew is a 1986 graduate of Stephenville High School. Two years ago, he lost his son Ryan to Ewing Sarcoma, a rare type of cancer that occurs in the bones and soft tissue.

July is Sarcoma Awareness Month and Drew is honoring his son by donating Wednesday’s proceeds from both sno cone stands to SHS’s annual Heart of Gold cause.

“Drew is an amazing person who loves Stephenville,” Coconut Hut manager LeAnn Durfey told Beneath the Surface News. “We hope everyone will come by on Wednesday and support this wonderful hometown cause.”
