Stephenville High School’s theatre department is presenting “Singing in the Rain Jr.” on Saturday, Dec. 7, at the SHS auditorium.

The production is open to the public at 4 p.m. and will feature classic characters of Don Lockwood, Kathy Seldon, Cosmo Brown and Lina Lamont and several familiar songs.

“This is a crowd pleasing, family-friendly show,” SHS theatre teacher Mindy McCleskey told Beneath the Surface News.

“More than 60 students have worked on the choreography, costuming, scenic design, lighting, sound engineering, video projection, props, hair and makeup and marketing for this production”

Popular songs will include Fit as a Fiddle, Make 'em Laugh, Moses Supposes, Good Mornin', Singin' in the Rain and Broadway Melody.

A second performance at 8 p.m. is part of the school’s tradition of presentation play where student council officers present class favorites and other special awards.

Tickets for both performances can be purchased here for $8 or at the door (cash only).

The performance is about one hour log.
