Say hi to Nyla and Tris. They are this week’s featured pets.
This week’s featured pet of the week includes Nylander, a two to three-year-old female Shepherd mix.
“Nyla can be kind of scary from behind a fence, but is really a sweetheart,” ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News. “She is a little timid around men, but once she gets to know you, she will wiggle her whole butt whenever you talk to her.”
Nyla walks well on a leash and love treats and toys, but does not do well with other dogs or cats.
Because of her nervous nature, it’s recommended that she be placed in a home with no small children.
Nyla does “pretty well” in a crate and is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention. Tris is a two-year-old female domestic shorthair.
“She is a sweet girl that loves to rub up against you for attention,” Serena said.
She also likes to look out windows and get out of her kennel to roam around.
Tris is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
If you would like to meet Nyla, Tris and the other 76 dogs and 69 cats that need new homes, stop by the animal shelter located at 891 East Road in Stephenville.
