Say hi to McLachlan and Jacqueline. This week’s featured pets love all the attention.

One of this week’s featured pets up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society is McLachlan, a two year old male Pit Bull mix.

“He is a super sweet boy that loves attention," ECHS executive director Serena Wright told Beneath the Surface News.

“He has a bit of anxiety here at the shelter, but has done very well interacting with staff.”

McLachlan knows how to sit and whisper. He does well in a crate and walking on a leash.

“We believe he is potty trained but might need a refresher course once he is in a home,” Serena said.

“He seems to do well with other dogs, but a meet and greet is always recommended with any current household dogs.”

McLachlan is not cat friendly, but he is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heart worm negative and on prevention.

Jacqueline is a three to four year old female domestic shorthair.

“This lovely lady is extremely friendly and loves all the attention that comes her way,” Serena said. "She is definitely a snuggle bug."

Jacqueline is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and litter box trained.
