Beans and Franks is appealing to customers with a sweet tooth.

Their newest restaurant located at 2810 W. Washington Street in Stephenville (in front of Holiday Inn Express) is now selling homemade pies and cheesecakes whipped up by Pie Peddlers in Glen Rose.

Employees of Beans and Franks were all smiles Monday when the first batch of pies arrived.

The first batch arrived early Monday morning – on the restaurant’s first official day to re-open.

“We have slowly been adding to our bakery side of the business,” said owner Jeff Weyers. “We have been selling cookies and muffins for years and recently started selling bread.

“We started talking with Pie Peddlers and this was a good way for her to get into Stephenville. And of course, pies go with coffee.”

A new selection of pies and cheesecakes will arrive at Beans and Franks daily.

Here is a look at what’s on the menu: Mini pies include banana cream, coconut caramel, fresh fruit tart, key lime, lemon ice box and pecan.

Whole pie or by the slice: Apple, blackberry, blueberry, buttermilk, cherry, chocolate meringue, coconut meringue, everyberry, key lime, peach, pecan, raspberry rhubarb and strawberry rhubarb.

It’s just another reason why you should always save room for dessert.
