Registration underway for SPARD youth basketball. Here’s what you need to know.

The Stephenville Parks and Recreation Department is now taking signups for youth basketball with games scheduled to begin in January.


The deadline to register is 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

COST: $55 (resident) and $60 (non-resident); this fee covers association fees, staffing, equipment, supplies, and jerseys

AGE GROUPS: Four to 13 years old.


DIVISIONS: 5U, 7U, 9U, 11U, & 13U (as of recently, TAAF rules state children from the age 4–13 are eligible for basketball league play based upon their age as of Sept. 1, 2022)

PRACTICE: Estimated to begin on the last week of November. Coaches will determine the time and day of week practices are held.


GAMES: Will be held on Saturdays beginning the second weekend of January. Make-up games might be played during the week. The season is estimated to end on the last weekend of February.
