Ready, set, go! There’s still time to get your team together for the Amazing Meals on Wheels Race.
Meals on Wheels of Erath County is once again hosting its own version of the popular reality TV show, The Amazing Race, and it’s time to get your team together to compete.
The 4th annul Amazing Meals on Wheels Race start at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, beginning and ending at City Hall at City Limits where there will also be a watch party.
“We are excited about our fourth annual event and this year’s race will include more challenges that will span across Erath County,” MOWEC executive director Elizabeth Johnson told Beneath the Surface News. “It’s growing every year!”
The cost to enter a three-person team is $100 and spots are still available.

I’m excited to compete this year with two of my dear friends, Mailyn Baskett and Tracie Thurman.
Our team’s name is called “Champagne Probs,” and our costumes are, well, pretty awesome!
Proceeds, of course, benefit Meals on Wheels, which supplies 200 hot meals to local senior citizens every day.
