Prime Metal Buildings: Great perks, great pay. This growing company hiring office, shop positions.
Prime Metal Buildings & Components is one of the fastest-growing companies in the state of Texas and is headquartered right here in Erath County.
The company, with other locations in Bridgeport, Dumas and Kerrville, designs, engineers and supplies metal buildings and manufactures everything that goes into them including roof panels, trim, wall panels, purlins, rafters and columns.
With more than 175 employees and 260,000 square feet of manufacturing space, Prime now produces over 25,000 tons of steel per year.
As its retail and manufacturing sides of the company continue to grow, Mayra Hagood is responsible for helping fill the ever-growing need for employees.
Mayra began working for Prime two years ago.
“I was in banking for 10 years before this and it’s a totally different ballgame,” she told Beneath the Surface News. “The growth Prime has experienced has been insane; there are a lot of moving parts and it’s incredible to be a part of it.”
Mayra says the best thing about working for Prime is the care the company shows its employees.
“I couldn’t work for a company that doesn’t truly care about their employees and Prime does,” Mayra said. “And the care starts at the top.”

And right now, there are two office positions available.
The first is a purchasing manager, which requires a minimum of two-years experience.
The second is a senior accountant, requiring a bachelor’s degree and six to eight years of accounting experience.
Shop positions begin at $17/hour and higher for experienced welders.
Prime is now hiring welders, fitters, robot operators and painters.
