Police investigate drowning of 38-year-old at The Patrick apartments in Stephenville.

Stephenville Police Captain Jeremy Lanier has confirmed to Beneath the Surface News that a 38-year-old woman has died in what appears to be a drowning at The Patrick apartments.

He said the woman, who lived in the apartment building, was discovered by the maintenance staff about 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

“We are waiting on an autopsy, but what we know at this time is that she left her apartment sometime after midnight and headed to the pool,” Captain Lanier said.

“She was dressed to swim and there were no injuries to show that there was any foul play."

Since this was an unattended death of an otherwise healthy individual, police are investigating.
